Meet Dr. Derik Hoerner

Dr. Derik Hoerner grew up on a farm north of Richardton, North Dakota, about 70 miles west of Bismarck. He completed his undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University, and then he earned his dental degree at Creighton School of Dentistry. After dental school, he began his dental career at A Lifetime of Smiles, working with Dr. Ralph Honkola, Dr. Bob Honkola, and Dr. Tony Frank. In 2011 when Drs. Ralph and Bob Honkola retired, Dr. Hoerner purchased the practice.

In order to provide his patients with exceptional dental care, Dr. Hoerner takes up to 50 hours of continuing education every year. He has also taken hands-on courses for dentures to ensure that his patients receive a high standard of care, including completing a certification in complete dentures through Ivoclar Vivadent®.

When not helping patients, Dr. Hoerner likes to relax with his family, help out on the farm, and spend time with his girlfriend, Katie.
